Emma is an accomplished event planner/producer who has built a name for herself and her company Events by Emma in the Manitoba Event Industry. Emma has over fifteen years experience and has been recognized and named one of the top 5 planners in Canada.

Emma’s professionalism, knowledge and talents have been recognized on many occasions including being a 2010 Canadian Event Professional of the Year Nominee from Canadian Event Perspective Magazine – 13th Annual Industry Star Awards, 2010 MPI Keystone Horizon Award Winner,  2009 Women Business Owners of Manitoba, Entrepreneur of the Year Nominee 2011 and 2012.

After University, Emma’s passion for events, people and education led her to serve in the private and non-profit sector. Prior to devoting herself to her business full-time, she worked, planned, and consulted on events for the YM-YWCA, Grant Memorial Church, Folklorama, Shapes Fitness Centres, Nor’West Community Health Centre, Manitoba Wildlife Rehabilitation Organization, Fort Whyte Alive and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg Inc.

Emma’s gifts of organization, attention to detail, creative imagination, concept design and contagious enthusiasm have earned her a reputation for unparalleled excellence as an event planner and designer. Emma will execute your concepts flawlessly while maintaining a pleasant, calm and helpful demeanor to ensure an amazing experience for you and your guests.

Emma is an active member of the event industry and believes in giving back to the industry through creating standards of excellence and raising the bar of professionalism. Emma is an active member of the Canadian Special Events Society, The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, The Association of Bridal Consultants, Winnipeg Wedding Industry, Team Winnipeg, Destination Winnipeg, Meeting Professionals International, The Canadian Association of Gift Planners and The Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Sacha Bouchard
Planning & Event Design Coordinator

Sacha has been part of the Events by Emma team for three years. She’s completed her Wedding Coordinator/Consultant through the Wedding Institute of Canada (WPIC) and also holds her Administrative Assistant Diploma. She was fortunate enough to grow up in a bilingual environment, English and French and as a result it allowed her to study in both languages.

Her interpersonal skills are a result of her years of experience within a team environment. Through sports, committees and social functions, she found true value in doing quality work with people.

She has a passion for taking a creative idea and seeing it come alive. Her creative skills aid her in the exploration of an idea and give her the ability to think outside the box.

Sacha is involved in all aspects of planning, design, on-site event management.  She’s been part of some of the biggest events at Events by Emma such as the Boge & Boge Holiday Event, the Fairmont Winnipeg Holiday Event, the Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Event, the Nygard Wedding, Team Winnipeg in Ottawa and Toronto and Rendez-Vous Canada and many more. 

Sacha loves people and especially happy people. There’s nothing more that motivates her than a group of people enjoying themselves or seeing their event dreams come true.

Holly Mclean
Planning & Event Design Coordinator

Holly joined the Events by Emma team in the spring of 2011. After showcasing what a determined, ambitious, and dedicated individual she is, Holly has quickly and deservedly transitioned into the role of Planning and Event Design Coordinator. Holly has acquired a love for planning weddings and events. Special events are a lot like staging an interior of a room, both involve a great deal of planning and creating, both involve the pressure to impress, and if something happens, you need to be able to improvise and come up with solutions. Holly takes pleasure and pride in the fact that each wedding and event produced by EBE is unique and custom to the client.

Holly brings to the EBE team a background in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Vancouver and she has completed her Wedding Coordinator/Consultant through the Wedding Institute of Canada (WPIC). Holly brings an abundance of experience in customer service. She has a hunger for knowledge and all things beautiful.

Charm Shamji
Planning & Event Design Coordinator

Charm joined Events by Emma four years ago after moving here from Vancouver, BC.  Her ability to blend fresh ideas with the clients vision comes from her wide range of experiences which include owning her own business and working as a Montessori Directress.  These have led her to strive to overcome challenges, become an absolute believer in effective communication, and to build strong relationships.  Her enthusiasm, flexibility, and a willingness to change and adapt are strong attributes which have been fostered throughout her career. Charm has natural creativity and an eye for detail that helps achieve perfection, so expect nothing less.  She holds her Wedding Planning Institute of Canada Certificate (WPIC).

Dannie Singh
Owner & Event Crew Chief

Dannie Singh is passionate about events and Events by Emma!

In addition to his full-time career in Radiology at Health Sciences Centre he enjoys being part of this creative team as Crew Chief (a.k.a Bungee King).  As our in-house expert on technical matters, prop and stage building, truck and trailer manoeuvrings, comic relief and added muscle for large scale events he is definitely an asset to the EBE team.

Monica Marion
Event & Creative Design Assistant

Monica Marion is passionate about Events by Emma!

In addition to her full-time career as a Nurses Aid at Foyer Vallade she enjoys being part of the dynamic and creative EBE team as our Warehouse Coordinator and Event Design Assistant (a.k.a. IQ – Inventory Queen) Monica has been a part of the crew since early 2009 and is our in-house expert on everything inventory and packing puzzle guru. Monica has a knack for organization and ability to make everything fit into one load for our events. She is an asset to the team and our team cheerleader to accomplish all of our amazing designs and projects for each client.

Liane Prenovault
Event & Creative Design Assistant

Liane has always been very creative and working for Events by Emma has given her a chance to channel that creativity. She is a second year university student at the St-Boniface College with french as her first language and is also enrolled in the professional program at the Winnipeg School of Contemporary Dancer. She has a strong work ethic and is in many dance groups. She even choreographed and participated in performances that were presented in some of our events. Liane is fun loving, hard working individual. She loves seeing concepts, ideas and drawings come to life and also enjoys seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces when they see our creative work. She also loves working with us because of the family-like bonds we have here at Events By Emma.

Jessica Adkin
Event Assistant / Event Crew

Jessica joined Events by Emma last April with enthusiasm. She currently has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Winnipeg. Jessica is an organized and tidy soul. She is a dedicated team member who is not afraid to put in the extra time to make a client’s event just right.

Sarah Panas
Event Assistant / Event Crew

Sarah is enthralled to be a part of the Events by Emma team. Combining her love of design and working with people, she relishes every moment of creating the beautiful events dreamed up by EBE. Her favourite part of creating the events is all the small details that make each event so personal.

Lauren joined Events by Emma last spring and has become an energetic part of the team.
