Well for the fourth year in a row the Events by Emma Team has had the honour of putting together an all-star team of local wedding and event  professionals for our annual Highstyle Photoshoot.

Each year the shoot gets bigger and better and this year I must say everything was amazing. Our approach was to showcase a classic and beautifully styled wedding from start to finish creating four unique themes: The Ceremony, The Cocktail Reception, The Reception and the Trash The Dress.

What a Night!

Is all I can say about The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce – Spirit of Winnipeg Awards. For the third year Events by Emma had the honour of working with the fabulous staff team at The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce to help produce this event and each year it keeps getting bigger and better.

Held at the wonderful Fairmont Winnipeg, this years Gala event was attended by over four hundred guests from the business community and they were treated to an amazing evening showcasing some of the best business innovators our city has to offer.

This year Events by Emma had the privilege of working with the fabulous group of staff and volunteers from the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba on their annual A Night to Remember in Bollywood Gala.

The event was a true Bollywood bash with over six hundred guests in attendance. Held at The Winnipeg Convention Centre guests were treated to glasses of champagne as they arrived with lovely sitar and tabla music pulling them into our fabulous gala room. As guests entered they were wowed by the rich gold and purple decor and design. All evening guests enjoyed the emcee talents of Ace Burpee, an amazing four course meal customized to the theme with chai cheesecake as dessert! Live and silent auction, indian dancers and more.

Special Thanks goes out to our partners in creating such an amazing event and the Gala Decor Sponsors: Planned Perfectly and Elite Lighting.

The event raised over $195,000 dollars for this amazing group!

This year the Events by Emma Team had the honour of being involved with the Children’s Wish Foundation’s third annual Shiver Ball Gala. The event was held at The Fairmont Winnipeg and three hundred guests enjoyed an evening of amazing company, four course meal, a live and silent auction, fun casino and the amazing sounds and entertainment of the Danny Kramer Event Band. The EBE Team created a very magical space with dysart blue linens, crystal chivari chairs, and crystal globe centrepieces adorned with authentic white feather boas.

The event raised over $80,000 for the organization and was made possible by all of the generous supporters that attended the event and Events by Emma especially wants to thank it’s generous partners in creating such an amazing event and the GALA Decor Sponsors for the evening: Planned Perfectly, Elite Lighting, Max Pro Lighting and Modular Storage Systems.

This year Events by Emma partnered with the Wonderful Wedding Show and The Winnipeg Convention Centre to create our brand new Wedding Inspiration Gallery.

With Over 3000 sq ft our team of amazing and expert Wedding Specialists helped us to inspire everyone that attended the show!

Our team started planning last summer and used the inspiration of the colour wheel to dream up our amazing designs and unique decor ideas. One by one we gathered the best wedding professionals to help us bring our designs to life and we are so thrilled with the teamwork that came about as we were all inspired to showcase our most innovative products and creative skills.

Themed “Dream in Colour”, visitors viewed tables showcasing beautiful specialty linens in the hottest colour trends, patterns and fabrics, amazing tablescapes and the newest table centrepiece ideas, fresh floral design at every table, custom individual desserts and pastries, personalized custom stationary, the latest in chair décor and accessories, exquisite room draping, lighting and technologies.

Well March marks the start of our new blog since our official launch of our new site on February 1. We decided to let the new website settle in before we started our blogs and posts so that everyone could enjoy the new site and have a chance to view all of the pages and portfolio.

Since January EBE office has been a busy place with all sorts of exciting events and happenings.

The first project we tackled this year was the Wonderful Wedding Show from January 21-22, 2012 at the Winnipeg Convention Centre. In addition to our collaborative booth with Floral Elements for the fourth consecutive year, we also designed booths for The Fairmont Winnipeg, The Fort Garry Hotel, Terlie, Elite Lighting, Chocolate Zen Bakery, assisted with some decor pieces in the Planned Perfectly booth and of course we inspired everyone with our brand new Inspiration Gallery!!!

This year our Events by Emma booth design was inspired by our custom acrylic canopy and we designed the booth based on a white, ivory and clear colour palette. Floral Elements did an amazing job with the floral design for our focale table, canopy and individual place settings. Floral Elements also brought to life our soft and beautiful backdrop design. White Wave linens were provided by Planned Perfectly and three custom backdrop panels were created. Terlie custom designed our table stationary to match the look and feel of the table and Elite Lighting finished off our booth with soft event lighting.

The Inspiration Gallery was our brand new special project and a brand new component of the show.THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT VISITED US OVER THE TWO DAYS!

Events by Emma (a.k.a EBE) has come a long way since we launched our first site many years ago and has continued to grow and expand in the Manitoba event marketplace. Fresh approach and innovative thinking have made us one of the most sought-after planning, production and design companies both locally and internationally. With over fifteen years of experience our creative team of planners are proven industry leaders in high-quality event management, able to translate our clients goals and objectives into stunning, one-of-a-kind events produced and styled to perfection.

Since 2008 we have seen the company grow steadily from a small home-based business to one of the largest event firms in Canada with the creation of a full-time creative team of planners, designers and specialized event crew, brand new offices, showroom, 5000 sq ft warehouse inventory space and the growth of our vast and exclusive rentals for our clientele.

As the company has grown so has our growing list of partners and collaborators that help us create the amazing events we produce on a daily, monthly and annual basis and we are so grateful for the amazing partnerships and friendships we have developed along the way. EBE has maintained and continues to be dedicated and committed to providing credible, professional and experienced event planning support to the community and event industry.

The timing could not be more appropriate with a New Year comes our fresh New Look for our website and all of our marketing pieces. We’ve created a five year business plan which reflects the variety of quality services and level of commitment we pass onto our clients. EBE also has plans to increase our capacity with the creation of our own facility in the next couple of years. I am particularly proud of this new development and excited about our growth.
